Nottingham Forest fans must be fuming after FA’s decision on West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus

Nottingham Forest have had their fair share of issues with the FA in recent times, and a decision involving West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus certainly won’t help things.

It all started in the game at Brighton, where Rob Jones decided to hand Morgan Gibbs-White his second yellow card for a tackle he made which sparked controversy.

An independent panel voted 3-2 in favour of Gibbs-White’s second yellow card being deemed the wrong decision, which won’t have pleased Nottingham Forest fans.

Regardless, Evangelos Marinakis and Nuno Espirito Santo were fuming with the decision and let their feelings be known on the field at the AMEX.

This led to a three-game suspension for Nuno and a five-game stadium ban for Marinakis.

Now, with the FA charging another player in the Premier League, it looks as if they’ve contradicted themselves slightly.

The FA’s decision on Mohammed Kudus has contradicted a decision made involving Nottingham Forest

Interestingly, the controversy didn’t stop at the AMEX, as there was a brawl after the Chelsea clash at Stamford Bridge which saw a number of players get their handbags out.

The main point from that incident was a slap from Nicolas Jackson which was thrown at the face of Nottingham Forest summer signing Morato.

Bizarrely, Jackson avoided any retrospective action from the FA for his lash out, but Nottingham Forest and Chelsea were both charged for the encounter (as per Daily Mail).

Now, an example cropped up at the weekend where Mohammed Kudus aimed a slap and push to the face at a couple of Tottenham players which saw him red carded.

Since then, the FA have come out and charged Kudus, alleging he acted in a violent and improper manner after he was sent off.

Nottingham Forest will feel hard done by

Knowing that Morgan Gibbs-White, Nuno Espirito Santo and Evangelos Marinakis have been given suspensions for their non physical reactions to a wrong call made by a referee will hurt.

Of course, we don’t support verbal abuse at all to anyone, but it’s the inconsistency with decisions that is the most frustrating part.

Jackson was one of the instigators after the Chelsea game and physically lashed out in a similar manner to Kudus, but he escapes with no charge and not even a red card for his troubles.

Surely if you’re going to charge one player for a slap and his angry reactions, then it has to be the same principle across the board to avoid any discrepancies.
