Nottingham Forest fans have had very little to complain about in recent times, but there were a couple of VAR incidents against West Ham that have left a sour taste.
Sadly, Nottingham Forest have had their fair share of issues with the FA in recent times, with Nuno Espirito Santo, Evangelos Marinakis and Morgan Gibbs-White all serving suspensions.
The win over West Ham was the last of Nuno’s games he has to spend in the stands, though Rui Silva has delivered in his absence with a perfect record to his name.
However, one of the main reasons behind the recent positive run has been Chris Wood, who is now hunting down Erling Haaland at the top of the Premier League top scorer tree.
Jamie O’Hara was full of praise for Wood after yesterday’s win, stating that he’s very under appreciated and deserves more praise for his contributions.
However, it is VAR that’s become the topic of conversation for Nottingham Forest fans after the game, as they believe a big blunder was made.

VAR makes potential blunder during Nottingham Forest vs West Ham
Now, it appeared as if Crysencio Summerville could have been sent off for kicking out at Ryan Yates, but that isn’t the only incident that VAR appeared to miss.
Morgan Gibbs-White was running onto the ball on the edge of the penalty area in the 17th minute when Guido Rodriguez slid in from behind with studs showing and contacted the Achilles at force.

The Premier League officials have been making an effort to punish more contact on the Achilles in recent times, which makes it mind-boggling that this wasn’t given a closer look.

Nottingham Forest fans think Guido Rodriguez should have been sent off for West Ham
These Nottingham Forest fans, when speaking on X, couldn’t believe how VAR hadn’t deemed this to be a red card challenge from Rodriguez.
“I was equally surprised that Summerville’s blatant kick out at Yates wasn’t looked at.”, @JeanBoucliers said.
@dancaw23 wasn’t happy: “I saw that from Trent end. First thought was that’s a straight red. Went through the back of him.”
@Pud1 stated: “Such a blatant red but not one mention of a VAR check.”
@Nffc_bailey mentioned: “Absolute joke, no point in having it if it’s not gonna do the job it’s meant to do.”
“That’s a red all day.”, @SamL0408 was adamant it’s a red card.
@SonOfHicks1 commented: “Unbelievable.”
