Nottingham Forest have had tremendous success in the transfer window this season, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s signings proving vital in their push for European football.

Elliot Anderson has impressed the Forest squad since arriving at the club, whilst Espirito Santo praised Nikola Milenkovic for the impact he has made at the heart of the Forest defence.

These successes in the transfer market, alongside the form of already present stars such as Chris Wood have seen Forest fly up to fifth in the Premier League table.

Wood has been compared to Harry Kane this season and has benefitted from the service of the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga out wide.

However, reports are suggesting that Espirito Santo may be looking into the market for another exciting option on the flanks.

Nottingham Forest linked with January move for Raul Moro

According to the Nottingham Post, Forest are making enquiries into exciting Spanish winger, Raul Moro, who has starred for Real Valladolid in La Liga this season.

Moro, who has been linked with a switch to Tottenham already, is said to have been contacted by Forest with a potential move to England for a fee of just £3 million.

Valladolid are said to prefer other departures over their star winger, but may be forced into selling Moro should a “good offer” come in from Forest.

Evangelos Marinakis will be hoping Forest can maintain their challenge for European football and will surely find some money for the Forest manager should the ideal target be available in January.

Moro could well be that target, especially when considering his stats so far this season in comparison to Forest’s current crop of wingers.

Stats show Raul Moro’s exceptional dribbling ability

Coming through at Barcelona’s famous ‘La Masia’ academy, it comes as no surprise to see that Moro has shown excellent technical ability at Valladolid this season.

In La Liga, Moro is averaging 2.43 successful dribbles per 90 minutes, a success rate of 47% overall. These dribbles have helped him create an average of two chances per match, as well as completing 1.73 crosses per game.

In comparison, Hudson-Odoi falls behind Moro with 1.7 successful dribbles per game and has only managed to complete 0.51 crosses per 90, which doesn’t help Wood up front.

Elanga has struggled even more in comparison to Moro, completing just 0.67 dribbles and averaging only 1.67 chances created per match.

Clearly, it is hard to improve on the current Forest squad given their fantastic start to the season, but Moro could offer an extra level of dynamism to help Espirito Santo maintain the current levels.
