Nottingham Forest could be in for a busy summer, with Manchester City’s James McAtee reportedly one to keep an eye on.
As Man City’s interest in Morgan Gibbs-White continues to grow, Nottingham Forest have targeted McAtee as a possible replacement this summer.
After a successful loan spell at Sheffield United, McAtee has managed to force himself into the Citizens first team this campaign.
Despite impressing under Pep Guardiola, though, it seems like the Spanish boss is open to selling the midfielder this upcoming window.

Manchester City open to James McAtee sale
Despite Forest fans criticising the McAtee links, it seems like Nuno Espirito Santo is still keen on acquiring the 22-year-old’s services this summer.
With this in mind, Forest’s chances of signing the Englishman could have just gone up after GiveMeSport revealed that Man City would be willing to part ways with the midfielder during the summer window.

McAtee has reportedly failed to convince Guardiola that he deserves to be in his plans next season, with his recent performance against Southampton last weekend failing to catch the Spaniard’s eye.
With only 12 months left to run on his deal, the Citizens are reportedly keen on selling McAtee this summer rather than losing him on a free in 2026.
Forest face stiff competition for McAtee
Despite Man City’s willingness to sell McAtee, any deal won’t be easy due to the sheer number of teams interested in the 22-year-old.
That is because Forest are reportedly one of seven Premier League teams interested in signing the midfielder this summer, with German outfit Bayer Leverkusen also targeting McAtee.
Likely to cost in the region of £25m, a McAtee transfer could be doable for Forest, especially after securing European football.
Nigel Clough claims the Forest squad needs bolstering ahead of next season, and McAtee could potentially be the ideal starting point.
