With European football already sealed ahead of next season, Nottingham Forest could be in for a busy summer of signings.
Forest are expected to spend big this upcoming window, with Evangelos Marinakis looking to build upon a highly successful season for the City Ground outfit.
European qualification is a huge plus for the Tricky Trees, but it will also bring its challenges, with Nigel Clough claiming the Forest squad needs bolstering if they are to compete on both fronts.
With that being said, it seems like Nuno Espirito Santo has already earmarked one area of his team for improvement, namely the left-back position.

Nottingham Forest eyeing up Adrien Truffert move
Neco Williams’ switch to left-back has garnered huge success this campaign, Forest, though, are still light in that position when it comes to squad depth.
Aston Villa loanee Alex Moreno will return to Villa Park, meanwhile, Harry Toffolo’s City Ground future remains unclear, with his deal set to expire this summer.
This lack of left-back options has seen Forest turn their attention to the defensive market, now targeting a move for Adrien Truffert.
That is according to John Percy from The Telegraph, who claims the Tricky Trees have been scouting the Rennes full-back for over 12 months and now see him as a ‘top priority’ heading into the summer window.

Truffert rejected Nottingham Forest move in 2023
With only a year left on his Rennes deal, Forest will fancy their chances of securing a move for the 23-year-old this summer.
There may, however, be one stumbling block in the transfer, and that is because Truffert actually rejected a move to Forest back in 2023.

Then Forest boss Steve Cooper wanted to sign the Frenchman to replace Renan Lodi, but the left-back would end up rejecting the Tricky Trees in favour of signing a new deal with boyhood club Rennes.
Having already rejected Forest’s advances in the past, it begs the question as to whether Truffert will do the same this summer.
