Morgan Gibbs-White finally got a meaningful outing for England at the home of Nottingham Forest against Senegal.
In a stadium where he’s so often been considered the main man, Gibbs-White came on for 35 minutes of last night’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Senegal.
Gibbs-White received mixed verdicts on his performance, but he will be satisfied that he’s finally had a chance to really showcase what he’s capable of.
Earlier this week, Harry Toffolo departed Forest after three years at the club, and he reacted to the performance of Gibbs-White in an England shirt.

Harry Toffolo reacts to Morgan Gibbs-White’s England performance
It was Gibbs-White who sent a message to Toffolo after it was announced that he was leaving Forest earlier this week.
Now, the left-back has returned the favour by praising the display put in by Gibbs-White last night at the City Ground.
The 25-year-old couldn’t get involved with a goal or an assist, and England did lose, but Gibbs-White showed flashes of what he’s capable of.
Toffolo posted on the player’s Instagram: “Best player to grace that field.”
Forest need to try and keep Morgan Gibbs-White
The Reds are going to face a fight to keep hold of Gibbs-White this summer, with clubs snooping around the star.
However, European football is on the table and that might tempt Gibbs-White into remaining at the City Ground for at least one more season.
Manchester City are keen on Gibbs-White, but they have already bolstered their squad considerably and might have moved on to other targets.
That is big news for Forest and hopefully the club’s vice captain and number 10 can remain on Trentside for the 2025/26 campaign.
