Nottingham Forest are set to complete the signing of Dan Ndoye from Bologna, but he won’t be the only winger to arrive at the City Ground this summer.

Forest agreed a deal for Ndoye after intense negotiations with the Italian side, which involved a rival bid from Serie A champions Napoli.

Despite Napoli’s interest, Ndoye quickly agreed personal terms with Forest before a fee between the clubs was sorted, a sign of intent from the Swiss international that Reds fans will love.

He’s not the only winger that Forest will want to bring in this summer after Ramon Sosa left for Palmeiras, with Nottingham Forest News speaking to transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey about the latest moves to bring in another explosive wide player.

Nottingham Forest in talks with Fulham to sign Adama Traoré

Alongside Sosa, Jota Silva remains of interest to Sporting CP so there could be a whole new look to Nuno Espírito Santo’s wide positions, with Ndoye the centrepiece.

However, to avoid concerns about adapting to English football, Forest are interested in Adama Traoré as an experienced option on the right side.

Bailey has confirmed to Nottingham Forest News that talks are now ongoing with Fulham in terms of the makeup of a potential deal, one that surely won’t break the bank for Evangelos Marinakis, given that Traoré’s contract with The Cottagers expires at the end of the season.

Of course, Espírito Santo is a big fan of Traoré after managing him at Wolves when the Portuguese coach was first announcing himself in the Premier League.

He’s not the only one who loves the Spanish winger, though, as plenty of the league’s top managers have had no answer to Traoré’s remarkable physical ability.

Pep Guardiola was terrified of Adama Traoré’s pace

Ndoye will bring tremendous speed to Forest as Anthony Elanga did before him, but no Premier League winger can quite compare with Traoré’s physical attributes.

Sometimes at the expense of a consistent end product, the 29-year-old has constantly terrorised the top defenders in the country, so much so that the great Pep Guardiola had nightmares about facing Traoré with Manchester City.

After City beat Fulham last season, Guardiola said: “Adama, he’s unstoppable that game. We couldn’t control when he had the ball. You have to defend in your 18-yard box.”

That ability to push even the best teams back with his pace would be a tremendous asset to the Forest squad, especially given that Ndoye could need time to adapt to Espírito Santo’s demands.

Bringing Traoré in would both alleviate the pressure on Ndoye and give Nuno an option out wide that he truly trusts.
