There’s excitement among Nottingham Forest fans after Dan Ndoye officially joined the club, with Global Head of Football Edu sharing his reaction to the news.
Ndoye was announced as a Forest player on Thursday afternoon, signing on a five-year contract from Serie A side Bologna.
An exciting addition, the club prioritised Ndoye after Nuno Espírito Santo had doubts over Johan Bakayoko, meaning that the Swiss international joins already having his manager’s backing.
With Napoli also interested in Ndoye, Edu and the recruitment staff worked hard to get the deal over the line, giving the former Arsenal man the chance to bask in the accomplishment.

Edu reacts as Dan Ndoye signing is confirmed
Edu’s detailed transfer process can be frustratingly slow at times, but it looks to be working as Forest begin to secure their top targets.
Ndoye looks to be the perfect replacement for Anthony Elanga, while costing £20m less than the £55m Forest received from Newcastle United, business that will be hailed if the Swiss star can hit the ground running in the Premier League.

In the meantime, though, it is time for celebration and Edu was quick off the blocks to lead, sending clapping emojis to Forest’s Instagram announcement of the club-record signing.
The comments were flooded with happy Reds fans but also heartwarming messages from Bologna supporters wishing him good luck, which is always a good sign.
Of course, though, there is always a tinge of sadness in these messages, shown clearly in former Forest star Remo Freuler’s reaction to the news.
Remo Freuler responds to Dan Ndoye’s Bologna exit
Freuler made 33 appearances for the City Ground club in the inaugural season back in the Premier League, before moving on to Bologna, where he has been ever since.
Both being Swiss, Ndoye and Freuler enjoyed a strong relationship in Italy, making the 33-year-old one of the most impacted by his exit to Forest.
Freuler reacted with heart emojis to Bologna’s heartfelt goodbye message to the winger, which read: “Goodbye Dan, thank you for the great times we spent together and good luck for your career.”
He’ll clearly be missed by the Coppa Italia holders, but Ndoye looks ready to truly level up Forest’s attack ahead of the club’s first foray into European football for 30 years.
