Nottingham Forest are still actively exploring a number of deals in the transfer market.
It’s understood that Nottingham Forest are trying to sign Dilane Bakwa in a £30m deal from RC Strasbourg.
Bakwa has already agreed personal terms with the East Midlanders, so it looks like he will become the ninth signing of the summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo still wants full-backs, though, and Sevilla right-back Jose Angel Carmona is believed to be on Forest’s radar.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has just dropped another major transfer update regarding a different Nottingham Forest target.

Nottingham Forest in direct talks to sign Victor Kristiansen from Leicester City
Nuno wants to sign a left-back to provide Neco Williams with more competition, and he’s identified Leicester City’s Victor Kristiansen.
Kristiansen has been on Forest’s shortlist for much of the summer window and now, according to Fabrizio Romano, they’re in direct talks with Leicester over a deal.
Romano says a transfer is in ‘progress’, with Leicester’s financial situation meaning they need to raise funds.
The Foxes are reportedly looking for around £10m to sanction Kristiansen’s sale, which is significantly less than the £17m they outlaid on him in 2023.
Nuno could turn Victor Kristiansen into a top left-back
Kristiansen is still learning his trade as a left-back and there’s no doubt he’s had a difficult time at Leicester.
However, he does have the tools to become a top player at Premier League level, especially under Nuno’s stewardship.
The 22-year-old has already picked up 18 caps for Denmark’s senior team, and he did have a very productive season-long loan spell at Bologna in 2023/24, helping them qualify for the Champions League.
At around the £10m mark, it’s a pretty low-risk signing for Forest with a high upside.
