There is not long left of the transfer window, and Nottingham Forest still have deals to be completed before the deadline.

The signing of Nicolo Savona to provide right-back cover is confirmed, and deals to add more depth across the squad are underway.

Nuno Espirito Santo has already made clear what positions he needs, and the arrival of Savona has addressed one of the key areas of his squad.

It has now been reported how many signings the Tricky Trees are looking to secure before the transfer deadline, and it looks like Edu is delivering what the manager wants.

Nottingham Forest looking to secure left-back, goalkeeper and a winger before transfer deadline

Business at the City Ground looks to be ramping up over the coming days, with Nottingham Forest journalist Paul Taylor reporting that three positions are looking to be filled before the deadline.

According to Taylor, Forest are expected to ‘push’ for signings at left-back, goalkeeper, and potentially target a winger as well.

A move to add reinforcements at left-back could even be completed as soon as today (Saturday).

It has been a successful summer for Evangelos Marinakis and Edu, who, if all targets are signed, will have added 12 new players to the squad.

With European football ahead this season, and Forest’s Europa League opponents confirmed, having a squad ready to compete at that level was a big priority.

Who Nottingham Forest could sign before Monday’s deadline

There have been a lot of players linked to Nottingham Forest over the last few weeks.

In terms of goalkeeper, it seems John Victor is the main target, despite previous strong reports about interest in Getafe’s David Soria.

At left-back, the most notable link has been to Leicester City’s Victor Kristiansen but reports now say a deal for Botafogo’s Cuiabano has been agreed.

Out wide, Dilane Bakwa is the club’s top target, and would provide a similar profile to Anthony Elanga.

It seems set to be a busy couple of days for Nuno Espirito Santo and Forest, but it looks like all of the manager’s squad concerns will be addressed.
