Omari Hutchinson has had a difficult start to life at Nottingham Forest, with his recent social media activity telling after being snubbed from Nuno Espírito Santo’s Europa League squad.
It looked to be a difficult situation from the off when Hutchinson became Forest’s record signing, even if the £37m price tag was more related to his potential than his current ability.
Two substitute appearances totalling nine minutes of action have followed, before Hutchinson was left out of the Europa League squad in a shock call by the Forest manager.
Hutchinson was left shocked by the Europa League decision, but based on a post on Instagram, he has taken the disappointment in his stride.

How Omari Hutchinson has responded to Europa League snub
What’s even more difficult for Hutchinson is how strong the Reds are in his favoured positions, with Morgan Gibbs-White occupying the central attacking midfield role alongside the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Dan Ndoye out wide.
Hutchinson will have to be patient as he pushes for more opportunities at the City Ground, then, but he is doing everything he can to earn his place.

During the international break, Hutchinson has been seen on social media putting in the extra reps through private training sessions late into the evening.
The Englishman could’ve easily kicked up a fuss after the Europa League drama, but it seems as if he is determined to work as hard as he needs to to prove his worth to Espírito Santo.
Omari Hutchinson is not shy of putting in the hard work
First coming through at Arsenal before making the switch to Chelsea, Hutchinson will have had to fight for every opportunity in some of the country’s most prestigious academies.
This work ethic continued into his loan and then permanent move to Ipswich, where the hard yards were the topic of discussion after making his debut for the club in 2023.
Quoted on Ipswich’s website, he said: “I’m buzzing – first start and a first goal. The team worked really hard and we’re delighted. It was tough and a bit of a blow.
“I played just shy of 80 minutes and I worked really hard, which is what the manager wanted from me. It’s about working hard, working to get the ball back and then also expressing yourself, which is what I tried to do.”
This attitude, along with the private training sessions, shows that Hutchinson shouldn’t be counted out at Forest, despite a difficult start at the City Ground.
