Nottingham Forest have sent the football world into overdrive on Tuesday after the news of Ange Postecoglou’s imminent arrival, with Robert Earnshaw making a bold prediction.
Forest are set to appoint Postecoglou after Nuno Espírito Santo was relieved of his duties as Forest manager late on Monday evening.
Surprisingly, Postecoglou has only been handed an 18-month contract at the City Ground, perhaps reflecting that a level of caution is being deployed after his difficult spell in the Premier League with Tottenham.
The style of play will certainly create plenty of excitement around the club at the very least, with former Red Robert Earnshaw predicting big things from the new boss.

Robert Earnshaw predicts success under Ange Postecoglou
Forest fans aren’t convinced by Postecoglou so the Australian will have to earn the trust of his supporters early on, while attempting to adapt his attacking style of football.
When it works, it can be devastating, though, and Earnshaw is clearly expecting the new style to suit the Forest squad down to the ground.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Earnshaw said: “I think Ange is a very good manager and I think he’s going to take a lot of lessons from being sacked from everything that went on at Tottenham.
“Yes, he won, but the process of how he went about it, I think he’s going to learn from. So I think Nottingham Forest might just have somebody who’s ready for that job to take him to the next level.”
Alongside his positive words, Earnshaw remarkably predicted Forest to finish 6th in the Premier League this season under Postecoglou, bettering Espírito Santo’s efforts from last season.
Ange Postecoglou arrives at the Nottingham Forest training ground
Forest fans evidently aren’t getting carried away with excitement about Postecoglou’s arrival, regardless of Earnshaw’s positive outlook.
The 60-year-old is going to be the manager at the City Ground, though, with footage emerging of his arrival at the Forest training ground on Tuesday morning.
With international football still to be played, Postecoglou won’t be meeting his entire squad upon arrival, but he’ll have the chance to get to work with a decent selection of the Forest group in preparation for the difficult trip to Arsenal on Saturday.
