It wouldn’t be a transfer window without Nottingham Forest entering the equation to sign some new players.
Forest are linked with Santiago Castro, but it would appear that the Reds are also eyeing a number of players in other positions.
Sean Dyche needs to make sure heads don’t drop in the Premier League after recent defeats to Everton and Brighton.
Forest have slipped dangerously close to the relegation zone once again, and with injuries stacking up, an assault on the transfer market feels likely.

Nottingham Forest rival Leeds United for Josh Mulligan
According to the Daily Mail, Forest will rival the Whites for Mulligan, with the central midfielder catching interest for his performances in the Scottish Premiership this season.
It’s claimed that Forest have a more serious interest than Leeds at this stage, having contacted Hibs to find out what their stance is on selling the player in January.
At the weekend, Hibs boss David Gray praised Mulligan for his performance, saying: “I don’t like singling people out. But for what I asked the players to do at the start of the game, and trying to get on the front foot. I think Josh Mulligan certainly led by example. I thought he was outstanding in the first half.”
Mulligan has been called up to the Scotland squad in recent months and with World Cup qualification secured, it seems as though a move to the Premier League would be right up his street.
⭐THIS is what Nottingham Forest can expect from Josh Mulligan
Forest might have one eye on the future with Mulligan
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season with Hibs and now the interest from Premier League clubs will naturally catch his eye.
Mulligan has been compared to John McGinn, who, coincidentally, Forest missed out on before he signed for Aston Villa a number of years ago.
Forest have a number of midfielders in their ranks, but Elliot Anderson is attracting interest from Manchester City, whilst Ibrahim Sangare will be heading to the African Cup of Nations later this month.
Mulligan might not be the big-name signing that fans are immediately craving, but there is no reason Forest shouldn’t look towards the future with some of their additions.
