Nottingham Forest thrashed Tottenham 3-0 at the City Ground to go five points clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League.

Ibrahim Sangare was praised by Theo Walcott after his goal and two assists led to the Reds claiming a superb victory.

It was a team effort, though, and Sean Dyche will have been delighted with his team’s performance after a poor showing last time out in the Premier League.

Morgan Gibbs-White poked fun at Tottenham after the match with Spurs, and the talk is all focused on Forest after this brilliant victory.

Troy Deeney hails Nottingham Forest star

Forest were rocked with news that Nicolas Dominguez was injured for this one, but other players stepped up and took responsibility.

Who was the Nottingham Forest Man of the Match vs Tottenham

Callum Hudson-Odoi was one of those players, and Deeney named the Forest man in his Team of the Week on the BBC Sport website.

He said on his performance: “He’s got all the ability and potential to be whatever he wants. We need to see more games like this – goals and assists. I thought he was excellent on the day and Spurs couldn’t live with him – he ran them ragged.”

Hudson-Odoi made a really good return to form against Tottenham and the two goals were just what he needed after a spell out of the team under Dyche.

Hudson-Odoi deserves a run in the team

Hudson-Odoi only cost Forest £3 million, and he’s proved to be worth his weight in gold for the Reds since checking in from Chelsea.

As a former Stamford Bridge star, he will have enjoyed the goals against Tottenham, with Hudson-Odoi clearing up whether his second one was a complete fluke or not.

After some erratic and somewhat poor performances from Dan Ndoye, now feels like the time to give Hudson-Odoi a prolonged run in the team.

He has the chemistry to link up with stars like Sangare, Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson from last season and Dyche will have learned a lot about Hudson-Odoi’s performance on Sunday.
