Shocking image tells a brutal story of Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest tactics

Nottingham Forest beat West Ham United 2-1 at The London Stadium to pull seven points clear of the relegation zone.

The Reds won thanks to goals from Nicolas Dominguez and Morgan Gibbs-White, with Forest overturning a half-time deficit for the first time since winning promotion in 2022.

Sean Dyche was in sarcastic form after the game. He mentioned the ‘noise’ surrounding the poor form coming into the game, with Forest losing four successive games.

However, Dyche needs to learn some things despite the fact that Forest’s position has improved since he took over, with the tactical naivety crippling some top players.

Shocking Igor Jesus image shows where Dyche has to improve

Everyone knew when Dyche came to the club that his style is pragmatic, negative and focuses on not losing football matches rather than trying to win them.

Still, last night a win was indeed a win and with a seven-point cushion on West Ham in 18th place, the result needs to spark Forest into life a little bit.

3️⃣A HUGE three points for Nottingham Forest against West Ham, what was your verdict on the game?

Tactically, Dyche has looked out of his depth at times and this was highlighted with a still image doing the rounds on social media showing just how isolated Igor Jesus was.

Michael Dawson slammed Jesus for the West Ham goal but it’s hard not to have sympathy with him in terms of the service he’s getting in an attacking sense.

The photo shows Jesus on his own in the final third of the pitch, with seven West Ham players for company and not a single teammate supporting him in the attack.

It’s a pretty damning insight into life with Dyche as a manager, and the challenge for him now is to get more players joining in with attacks to aid the team’s strikers.

Dyche must find a way to get fans off his back

This season is ultimately about staying in the Premier League at this point and Forest have no other remit at this stage.

It’s a shame that the Europa League campaign might need to be sacrificed but that’s where Forest are at, with the Premier League where the club needs to be.

Dyche will point to his points haul, but sadly for the head coach, there have been some drab performances, and before last night, his team suffered four straight defeats.

⭐Who was your STAR MAN during Nottingham Forest’s win over West Ham

This image showing Jesus isolated isn’t a surprise and as a result, it’s hard to give any striker too much stick given this style of football Forest appear to be trying to play.

Despite a big win for Forest against West Ham, there is still work to do and Dyche has it all to do in order to prove to supporters he’s the man to take the club forward in the long term.
