Nottingham Forest are in the market for a midfielder this summer transfer window.

With Elliot Anderson set to leave for Manchester City, Nottingham Forest probably need to sign two players to fill his void.

Vitor Pereira has been looking at Hayden Hackney after his sensational season at Middlesbrough, however, it seems Everton are leading the race to land his signature.

How much should we do business for when it comes to Elliot Anderson?

Will we get the £115m that Brighton managed to squeeze out of Chelsea for Moises Caicedo?

Now, it’s being reported that Nottingham Forest are looking at a midfielder who plies his trade in the Saudi Pro League.

Nottingham Forest eyeing Amadou Kone

Transfer specialist Pete O’Rourke has taken to X to report that Nottingham Forest are eyeing Neom FC star Amadou Kone.

“Nottingham Forest and Sunderland are among several clubs eyeing moves for Neom midfielder Amadou Kone,” O’Rourke stated.

“Roma are also keen on the energetic box-to-box central midfielder.”

Evidently, there is stiff competition to sign Kone, who only joined the Saudi Pro League last summer in a £11.4m deal from Stade Reims.

👀Could Lois Openda be our number one striker next season?

Does the fact he scored twice in 37 games during 2025/26 bother you at all?🤔

The Ivorian recently celebrated his 21st birthday, so he’s still at the very early stages of his career and learning his trade.

Forest clearly feel he’s got a lot of growth in him, although he may take some time to adapt from Saudi Arabia to the Premier League.

Kone is very versatile, as he can operate as a number six, number eight and even as an attacking midfielder.

With all that said, there is a lot to like about this transfer rumour, so long as Forest aren’t paying in excess of £20m, as there is an element of risk attached given the level he’s been playing at.
