Manchester City are cranking up the pressure on Nottingham Forest to accept their bid for Elliot Anderson.
Evangelos Marinakis is taking control of these negotiations, and he’s notoriously a difficult negotiator, with the owner always keen to do what is best for Forest.

Anderson played for the second time at a major tournament for England!
Anderson was the subject of a bid from City earlier this month, but Forest rejected the £106 million offer with a series of add-ons to take it to £120 million.
That wasn’t deemed acceptable for Marinakis, and now Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the situation, with Anderson currently playing at the World Cup.

Fabrizio Romano delivers update on Elliot Anderson
It would appear as though things are getting closer to completion, with City refusing to give up in their quest to sign Anderson this summer.
Romano has now claimed that City held what are to be considered positive talks with Forest last night over Anderson moving to the Etihad Stadium.
It looks certain that the player will be moving to the North West in the coming weeks, and Marinakis is adamant he wants £120 million up front before any add-ons have been worked in.
It does feel as though this is happening quite slowly and that is likely down to the fact that Anderson is currently fully focused on the World Cup with England.
Forest need contingency to replace Anderson
Lucas Bergvall has been linked with a move to the City Ground this summer, with the Sweden star looking to leave Tottenham during the transfer window.

Whether he’s the stellar signing Forest will look to attract as the Anderson replacement remains to be seen, but something will need sorting quickly once the deal goes through.
Forest will benefit from having the funds available, and with the club seemingly looking to sign just four to six quality players this summer, it should help when it comes to attracting real quality to the club.
