Nottingham Forest have made a fine start to the Premier League campaign and have surpassed expectations in terms of a points total at this stage.
The Reds are two points and two league positions higher than they were at this stage of last season and that represents progress.
Forest have had a number of top performers so far during the 2024/25 campaign and the supporters have lots to shout about.
Ally McCoist raved about Matz Sels for his efforts at the weekend as the goalkeeper helped Forest claim a huge draw away at Chelsea.
Morgan Gibbs-White has earned a first England call-up for his efforts this season, whilst the new recruits have been largely impressive.
Forest have persuaded Sam Matterface to back down from his early-season prediction that the club would be in trouble this season and things are looking very rosy.

Gregor Robertson raves about Nottingham Forest star
Forest can once again count on Chris Wood to score goals for the team this season and on Sunday his tally went to four in seven Premier League games.
His fine run of goalscoring form stretches back into last season and he’s now closing in on a Premier League record with Forest.
Since Nuno Espirito Santo came to the club he’s been in red-hot form and clearly, he’s taken a lot of confidence from being the main focal point of the Forest attack.
McCoist shared that he likes Wood this week and he’s got another admirer in Gregor Robertson, the former Reds player who now writes for The Times.
He said on The Game Football Podcast: “”Forest are smart. They’ve not got dynamic attacking players behind Chris Wood. He’s now scored 19 goals in the Premier League and is only behind Stan Collymore and Bryan Roy. He’s been a revelation.”
Wood closes on Premier League record with Forest
The Reds have waited a long time for someone to come along and eclipse Bryan Roy at the top of the Premier League goals charts from a Forest perspective.
In truth, Forest did have 23 years outside of the Premier League so for many years nobody has had the chance to break the Dutchman’s tally.
Now, Wood is closing in and being five goals away, it’s really difficult to imagine him not getting the record this season.

Wood has proved everyone wrong since his £15 million transfer from Newcastle and perhaps Eddie Howe was right.
The Newcastle boss claimed he didn’t really want to sell the player in January 2023 but admitted that Wood was keen to play football.
Their loss is to the gain of Forest and the 32-year-old striker has worked hard at his game to silence his harshest critics.
