It is shaping up to be a busy summer transfer window for Nottingham Forest.
Following news on Tuesday that Manchester City are interested in Morgan Gibbs-White, there are likely to be multiple incomings and outgoings.
With Edu Gaspar set to play a role at Nottingham Forest as part of owner Evangelos Marinakis’ multi-club model, however, fans should be confident that any departures can be adequately replaced.

Indeed, Forest have since been told the price for one midfielder they were heavily linked with in January, with a potential bid to follow in the coming months.
Nottingham Forest told to pay €40m for Douglas Luiz by Juventus
According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Juventus have placed a €40m price tag on midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The Brazilian only signed for Juve in the summer of 2024, but has struggled for minutes and form amid an injury-ridden season.

And with the Italian giants paying Aston Villa upwards of €50m (£42m) to secure the 26-year-old’s services, Juventus will want to recoup as much of that initial fee as possible.
The €40m asking price is unlikely to deter Espirito Santo’s side, however, Nottingham Forest having shown interest in Luiz in the January transfer window.
Moreover, with Edu a keen admirer of Luiz from his time as Arsenal’s Sporting Director, it seems a deal could be done if all parties are willing.
Flop at Juventus, star at Aston Villa – the recent history of Douglas Luiz
As mentioned above, it hasn’t worked out for Luiz in Turin this season.
The Brazilian was not a regular starter under former Juventus manager Thiago Motta, with multiple muscle injuries over the course of this campaign also inhibiting his development.

All told, according to Transfermarkt, Luiz has been limited to 15 appearances and just 479 minutes in Serie A this season.
That being said, it should not be forgotten how good the midfielder was at Aston Villa.
In the 2023/24 campaign especially, Luiz played 35 of his side’s 38 Premier League games, scoring nine goals and laying on five assists in the process.
| Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| 2023/24 | 35 | 9 | 5 |
| 2022/23 | 37 | 6 | 6 |
| 2021/22 | 34 | 2 | 3 |
| 2020/21 | 33 | 0 | 2 |
| 2019/20 | 36 | 3 | 2 |
He was therefore a key reason behind Unai Emery’s side qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since the 1982-83 campaign.
If available, he would be a valuable addition to any top-level squad this summer.
