Nottingham Forest have made a quick start to the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest are already close to making Igor Jesus their first signing and hope fellow Brazilian youngsters Cuiabano and Jair Cunha will follow him to the City Ground.

Evangelos Marinakis is in the market for a statement signing, too, with the aim of making Nottingham Forest regular challengers for European spots.

That said, Forest have the opportunity to sign Noni Madueke, who has been made available for sale by Chelsea.

Now, there has been a fresh development on one of their other rumoured targets on the continent.

Nottingham Forest target Roony Bardghji snubs new Copenhagen contract

Nottingham Forest are keeping close tabs on Roony Bardghji and are hopeful of beating Tottenham Hotspur to his signature.

Bardghji has been dubbed the new Wayne Rooney, with many tipping him to achieve big things in the game.

Now, Forest have just received a major boost in their bid to sign 19-year-old forward, as according to Bold, he has snubbed a new deal with the Danish giants.

Bardghji’s contract is set to expire in December, so he is expected to be available at a discounted price of around £10m.

Forest face a lot of competition for Bardghji

Considering Bardghji is being tipped as a future superstar, it’s no surprise Forest aren’t alone in their interest.

As we noted, Tottenham are keen, but so too are Manchester City, Newcastle United and Aston Villa, so it won’t be an easy deal to complete.

Perhaps if Forest can assure him of regular playing time, that may tempt the Sweden under-21 international to pick the East Midlanders.

With Jota Silva potentially leaving Forest, that would free up a spot on the flank.
