Morgan Gibbs-White has committed his future to Nottingham Forest this summer, but will be without one of his best friends in the squad in the 25/26 season.
Dan Ndoye is excited to play with Gibbs-White which shows the influence that the Englishman has in the squad as a leader on and off the pitch.
Nothing emphasises this more than Gibbs-White potentially being offered the captaincy at Forest, in what should be a significant season for him given the World Cup next summer.
However, the 25-year-old will have to step into his increasing leadership role without one of his closest friends in the dressing room who was also a major influence on the Forest squad.

Morgan Gibbs-White reacts to Harry Toffolo’s MLS move
Forest fans were sad to see Harry Toffolo leave at the end of the season, given how popular he was despite not featuring prominently under Nuno Espírito Santo.
The full-back has landed on his feet, though, with Toffolo’s move to Charlotte FC confirmed on Saturday on a three-year deal.
Fans will be hoping to see their former star succeed in the MLS, with support also coming from his Forest teammates, including Gibbs-White.
Responding on Instagram to Charlotte’s official announcement, Gibbs-White said: “Good luck brother,” with a crying emoji as his friend moves across the Atlantic.
Toffolo supported Gibbs-White when he played for England in June which emphasised his mentor role for the midfielder, who expressed his sadness over losing the 29-year-old’s influence in the dressing room when Toffolo’s departure was confirmed in early June.
Gibbs-White was devastated to see Toffolo leave Nottingham Forest
Since his exit from the City Ground, Toffolo has had nothing but positive things to say about the club and his former teammates, as shown especially when Toffolo praised Ryan Yates as someone who he felt lucky to have played with.
Talent-wise, Gibbs-White will be up there with the best Toffolo played with in his career, but even someone of that level of skill still clearly appreciated what the backup full-back offered to the Reds.
Responding to Toffolo’s departure announcement, Gibbs-White said: “My heart hurts. Thank you for everything, brother and good luck on your next chapter.”
With stars such as Lionel Messi and the soon-to-arrive Heung-Min Son in the MLS, Toffolo will get to experience a unique challenge with Charlotte, cheered on by his Forest family back on Trentside.
