Nottingham Forest are very keen to land another attacking player before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow night.
Evangelos Marinakis will be working on a new forward. The ambitious owner wants Forest to get into Europe and as a result, he will be keen to leave no stone unturned.
Yoane Wissa has been linked with Forest this month. However, Jamie Redknapp thinks Wissa would cost around £40 million and the Reds won’t be spending that on a player who is already 28-years-old.
Another player linked with Forest is Matheus Cunha. The Wolves player now looks set to sign a new deal with Wolves for another four-and-a-half years but there will be a release clause that might tempt Forest in the summer.

New Matheus Cunha price emerges amid Forest interest
Arsenal look to have dropped out of the Cunha race. However, it doesn’t look as though anyone will be signing Cunha during the current transfer window.
According to Deadline Day Live, Cunha will now have a release clause of £62.5 million as the club looks to deter potential suitors from making a bid given their current ongoing situation.
The 25-year-old has bagged 10 goals this season with Wolves now in the bottom three. A new contract had been in the offing but the player hasn’t been forthcoming to sign on the dotted line just yet.
Forest might have to move quickly during the summer. European football could be on the agenda at the City Ground and that might persuade the club to spend big on Cunha and push the boat out.
Cunha might be one for Forest to pursue this summer
It was always hard to imagine Wolves offloading their best player with the window so close to closing. Right now, the club would have no time to find a replacement and the fan backlash would be detrimental.
As a result, Forest will now have to wait until the summer. If the Reds can secure European football without Cunha, perhaps the Brazilian would jump at the chance to come to the City Ground at the end of the season.
Furthermore, Wolves might be a Championship club by then and if that is the case there is no way that they will be able to command anything like the release clause for Cunha.
Morgan Gibbs-White has endorsed the signing of Cunha. However, it always felt like a very complex deal to complete this month and Forest will now have to focus their attention elsewhere.
