It has been a tumultuous start for Ange Postecoglou at Nottingham Forest, as the Tricky Trees have yet to win under his stewardship.
Over the last few weeks, the Australian has had his fair share of critics and supporters.
Micah Richards has insisted there are no concerns at Nottingham Forest, and the former Manchester City man wasn’t alone, as a fellow Australian defended Postecoglou amid the poor run.
On the other hand, Tim Howard ranted about Postecoglou’s tactics and an alarming stat backs up the American’s opinion.
Now, former Nottingham Forest player Nigel Clough has chimed in, and he has delivered his verdict on the new head coach.

Nigel Clough believes it is unfair to already judge Ange Postecoglou
Nigel Clough was part of a Nottingham Forest squad that won back-to-back League Cups, so he knows a thing or two about succeeding at the City Ground.
Postecoglou’s time has not gone well, and so far, it cannot yet be described as a success, but Clough insists it is not yet time to judge.
The former player was invited to speak on TalkSPORT on Monday morning, and he was asked by Jeff Stelling about Ange Postecoglou’s start to life at Forest.
Clough said, “It is early days, and from what I saw of the bits of the game, I think they played quite well against Sunderland; they just didn’t finish their chances like they finished last year.
“Chris Wood had a couple that last year he finished with his eyes closed, and now all of a sudden, he’s missed one or two and that could be the difference in the games. Let’s give him some time…
“It’s a new regime; we need to give [Ange Postecoglou] more than four weeks before we start judging.”
Ange Postecoglou’s own words are haunting him
Typically affording time to a new manager is the sensible thing to do, but in Postecoglou’s own words, he does not have that time.
The Australian spoke after his first match, saying that he needs to hit the ground running, as Nottingham Forest are looking to improve on last season’s success.
Postecoglou said, “I cannot afford to waste time. This is not a project. This football club had a strong season last year; they need to be stronger this year, and my job is to get us to where I want us as quickly as possible.”
While it was Ange’s words as Spurs manager that won him infamy last season, these comments may come back to haunt him.
The little time he is being afforded is quickly running out, and the Garibaldi faithful are starting to lose patience.
